"Susan came highly recommended to us from a friend and a family member, and she did not disappoint! When we first met with Susan, she immediately came across as genuine, kind, helpful and honest, as well as someone who knows the real estate business inside and out. She has many connections with other agents, as well as other individuals and businesses connected to the real estate market (movers, contractors, etc). Susan actually wrote a book to help her customers buying and selling homes, which was very useful to us during this process. Our home was not cookie cutter in that it sat well off the road, which made it difficult to see when driving by it, and it was a little larger and higher priced than some other homes recently sold in the area. So, we knew it would take more time to find a buyer, even in a seller’s market, and Susan prepared us for this. Susan advised us on what we needed to do to prepare our house to put on the market, selecting the right listing price, then she hired a professional photographer to take beautiful photos of our home to put on the real estate sites (at her own expense). Once the home was listed, she held multiple open houses, and was respectful of our schedule before setting up showings. She was able to generate significant interest from the first day our home was listed, and consistently maintained that interest until we sold the home. When we did sell, we were pleased with the price, and with the entire closing experience. Susan handled everything – all we had to do was show up and sign the paperwork! In addition to selling our home, we also worked with Missy on Team Lehman to purchase a new home. Missy was wonderful, always willing to take us to look at homes, and always smiling and helpful. We knew early on which home we wanted, and Missy advised us on what we needed to offer in the hot real estate market in order for our offer to be accepted. We were able to get the home, and at a price we were happy with. Again, the closing experience was so simple – just show up with a pen, and we were all set. Once we closed on the new home, there was some work we wanted to get done building out some rooms in the basement before we moved in, but we only had 3 weeks between when we had to be out of our current home and when we moved into our new home. Susan told us about her friend Bob who handles general contracting work. With the market as hot as it was, it was hard to find people who could do the work at a reasonable price, let alone in a 3-week timeframe. Bob pulled off a minor miracle, getting everything done - sheet rocking, electrical, plumbing, and painting – and it was all completed the day before we moved in!
